Marine City, Michigan (MI) is a Riverfront Community, centrally located on the St. Clair and Belle Rivers. The first settlers arrived in the 1780's and obtained a deed for the property from the Chippewa Indians.
First called Yankee Point because it was first settled by eastern Yankees, Marine City is at the mouth of the Belle River. It is located in the heart of the St. Clair River district and is only 15 minutes from I-94.
Marine City is one of three international crossings to Canada in St. Clair County. It has regular car and passenger ferry service to Sombra, Ontario.
The Nautical Mile, dotted with mini-parks, lets visitors get a close-up view of ocean-going and Great Lake freighters.
